Green Heron-itas and Redheads

I have had a little bit of an odyssey with some Green Herons in the cedar tree in my yard this year. Adults have flown in and out of the tree since April, but I haven't been able to find a nest. This morning, I finally discovered some babies!

They were very quiet as an adult fed them.

One of the adults was perched on top of a telephone pole yesterday.

It flew off with a croak.

An hour later at Ford's Pond, I found a Redhead couple (year bird), and a Wood Duck with a single duckling
